Physio Yoga

Connect your mind and body through breath, mindfulness and movement and experience physical & mental wellness!

1:1 Physio Yoga in Treatment

Rachel incorporates physio yoga into treatment sessions by blending manual therapy with the mindfulness, movement, and breathwork of yoga. This integrative approach tailors yoga practices to address the specific needs and goals of the patient while considering their physical limitations, pain levels, and rehabilitation goals. Here’s how physio yoga is typically incorporated and why it benefits a patient’s care:

  • Assessment and Individualization

  • Manual Therapy and Mobilizations

  • Mobility and Flexibility Exercises

  • Strengthening and Stability

  • Mind-Body Connection

  • Integration with Physiotherapy Goals

Small Group Physio Yoga Classes

Rachel offers small group yoga class covered under physiotherapy benefits. This is a therapeutic yoga class led by physiotherapist and registered yoga teacher, Rachel Wilson MScPT, focusing on gentle, tailored movements, breathwork, and mindfulness exercises designed to address participants' specific needs and help participants find a mind-muscle connection to reduce pain and improve overall function. The class size allows for personalized attention and safe modifications to accommodate various physical limitations or rehabilitation goals. It is especially beneficial for individuals recovering from injuries, managing chronic pain, improving mobility, or seeking stress relief through mindful movement. This setting fosters a supportive environment while integrating physiotherapy principles to enhance overall well-being.
