1:1 Clinical Pilates

1:1 Clinical Pilates is part of our Physiotherapy offerings at Flow Physio + Wellness. Physiotherapist Danielle Ufniak MScPT uses the main principles of Pilates exercises: concentration, centering, control, breathing, coordination, stamina, alignment, relaxation to program effective therapeutic sessions for physiotherapy patients to help them address their concerns and meet their goals. We use re-assessments and outcome measures to gauge progress and create new, challenging programming for patients!

Here’s how you can be a part of our 1:1 Clinical Pilates program…

1. Book a Discovery Call with Danielle

We will discuss your concerns, injuries and determine if Clinical Pilates would be a good fit for you. This will also be an opportunity for Danielle to send any relevant Outcome Measures straight to your inbox for you to complete. Outcome Measures allow us to measure progress during your treatment plan of Clinical Pilates.

2. Attend a virtual or in-person Physiotherapy Assessment (only if indicated)

If Danielle determines further assessment is indicated or has concerns about your participation in Clinical Pilates as part of your physiotherapy treatment plan, we’ll schedule a virtual or in-person assessment. This allows us to rule out any red flags or contraindications for treatment, determine movements or exercises to avoid.

3. Attend your 1:1 Clinical Pilates sessions

Attend your 1:1 Clinical Pilates session with your invidiualized programming created by Danielle Ufniak MScPT and supervised by Jin Kwon and Ashley Endicott.

We have 30-minute and 45-minute 1:1 Clinical Pilates options and utilize the Pilates Reformer, Pilates ball, dumbbells, resistance bands, sliders in your program,.

4. Book a follow up call with Danielle to re-assess

Because Clinical Pilates is part of physiotherapy, we need to re-assess your function, strength, pain, mobility at regular intervals to ensure Danielle’s programming is having a therapeutic effect and helping you progress towards your goals! We use Outcomes Measures to compare to your original assessment.
